TEEN DIES AFTER FALLING INTO POOL AT GREAT ESCAPE.(CAPITAL REGION)

A disabled boy on a school outing to the Great Escape amusement park died Saturday afternoon after falling into an 18-inch-deep pool, authorities said.

The 14-year-old, described by park officials as developmentally disabled, was pulled from the shallow pool in Noah's Sprayground around 4 p.m., but efforts to revive him at the scene and later at Glens Falls Hospital failed, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said it was unclear whether the boy drowned or suffered some other medical emergency that caused the accident, but a spokeswoman for the park speculated the boy suffered a …
