Starbucks Revise Logo for 4th Time

BEIJING, Jan 07, 2011 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Starbucks, a global leading chain coffee house, is to change logo, hiding the words to make the image of banshee more prominent.

In the new trademark, the words "Starbucks Coffee", which are designed to circle a round, are eliminated, just leaving a crowned charming banshee and her flowing hair. It was issued on January 5, 2011 and will be applied in March 2011.

However, a survey made by NetEase shows that more than 70% Internet users think the new logo is not better than the old one.

Howard Schultz, CEO of the coffee house, said in a statement that the charming banshee has been with Starbucks in the past four years, adding that now the company make a mini but meaningful innovation for her in order to ensure the Starbucks brand to be loyal to the company's core value to continue the tradition and still play an important role for future development.
